When You Call Us
When you telephone the surgery to book an appointment, our reception team may request some additional details to help navigate you to the most appropriate member of the healthcare team.
This is because the receptionist has several types of appointments available to offer you. The most appropriate appointment may be with the GP for example, or perhaps with another member of the practice team that is also a suitably trained healthcare professional.
By implementing this system, on the occasion when you do need to see a GP, there is more likely to be a free appointment for you.
This poster may help you understand more clearly the choices available to you.
We very much hope that this system makes the best use of the services available both at the practice and in the wider community, and by doing so indirectly increases the number of available GP appointments, so that you can more easily secure one promptly when it is necessary.
